New Website
We have a new website thanks to Caleb Long who is one of our members and who also is a web designer.
A big big thank you to Caleb for donating his time, efforts and resources to design this web site for us.. THANK YOU CALEB!!!
You can find the website by going to http://cornhuskercountry.com.
You will also receive your newsletter through the website which will also automatically send it to your email when I post on the website.
There are 4 buttons across the top of the page for you to be able to navigate the website when you are there.. Home, upcoming events, about and contact.
We hope you find the website helpful in answering questions you might have.. The shows will be listed on the website as well as in the newsletter.
Anytime you want event information at the Theater you may always go to http://cornhuskercountry.com.
Attendance
We would like to strongly encourage all members who are capable of attending our shows to do so.. Attendance has been poor and our expenses are far outweighing our income that we get from our shows..
In the event this does not happen we may have to close our doors in the near future.
Donations are also an option if you are so inclined.
Donations may be sent to
Cornhusker Country Music Theater.
PO Box 42
Louisville Ne 68037.
We would really hate to see this venue close. This nonprofit organization has been operating since 1976. It is one of the last venues to host classic Country Music in the State of Ne as well as the entire nation.
Help us fight to keep our theater open so we can provide entertainment for those who wish to attend these events..
Bring a friend to a show with you.. You could also encourage them to buy a membership which is ONLY $10 per year single membership and $12 per year for a family membership.
Thank You

Monthly Meeting
The March board meeting was held on Wed March 27 @ 5:30 pm. Board members attending Were Pres Rick Stephens, Vice Pres Kirk Kubik, interim Treas Larry Meyer and board member Adelay Idler.
The meeting was opened by Pres Rick Stephens.
The topic of discussion was trying to move forward with the City of Louisville to try and get on the docket so we can propose with them the date of Sept 14 for our festival in the fall.
The City has come up with some new policies for closing the street for our event.
We must fill out a street closure form and present with that, $100 for the closure of the street.
Also we must have a $1,000,000, one day insurance police to present to them also at this time..
We are at this time trying to get these items taken care of so we can get on the City’s docket. and hopefully gain appoval for the Sept 14th date.
The meeting was closed by Pres Rick Stephens.
Artist of the Month
Tompal and the Glaser Bros
Nebraska Born Brothers, Tompal, Chuck and Jim Glaser were born in the Spalding Nebraska Area. When they were still in their preteen years they were singing at talent shows and country fairs in the area.
In 1957 they caught a lucky break when they ended up on Arthur Godfry”s talent show which made a few well known country start to sit up and take notice.
1960-1975. the brothers racked up 10 albums and put 9 singles on the billboard charts.
In 1979 the group reunited after taking some time off to pursue individual interests. They released a few singles and a couple of albums. During this time they release their #2 hit single, “Loving her was Easier.”
In 1962 The Glaser Bros started their own studio which took on artists that big name studios chose not to pursue.
One of those artist turned out to be John Hartford. He wrote Gentle on my MInd, which has been recorded by over 300 artists. Three of those artists were Glen Cambell, Elvis Presley and Johnny Cash.
The claim is that that song has been performed live over 6 million times.
A VERY popular song indeed.
Tompal passed away on August 13th 2013 at the age of 79.
He was survived by his wife, June Johnson Glaser.
His brother Jim passed away April 6th 2019 at the age of 81
Brother Chuck soon followed him on June 10 2019 at the age of 83.
