New Website

We have a new website thanks to Caleb Long who is one of our members and who also is a web designer.

A big big thank you to Caleb for donating his time, efforts and resources to design this web site for us.. THANK YOU CALEB!!!

You can find the website by going to http://cornhuskercountry.com.

You will also receive your newsletter through the website which will also automatically send it to your email when I post on the website.

There are 4 buttons across the top of the page for you to be able to navigate the website when you are there.. Home, upcoming events, about and contact.

We hope you find the website helpful in answering questions you might have.. The shows will be listed on the website as well as in the newsletter.

Anytime you want event information at the Theater you may always go to http://cornhuskercountry.com.

Attendance

We would like to strongly encourage all members who are capable of attending our shows to do so.. Attendance has been poor and our expenses are far outweighing our income that we get from our shows..

In the event this does not happen we may have to close our doors in the near future.

Donations are also an option if you are so inclined.

Donations may be sent to

Cornhusker Country Music Theater.
PO Box 42
Louisville Ne 68037

We would really hate to see this venue close. This nonprofit organization has been operating since 1976. It is one of the last venues to host classic Country Music in the State of Ne as well as the entire nation.

Help us fight to keep our theater open so we can provide entertainment for those who wish to attend these events..

Bring a friend to a show with you.. You could also encourage them to buy a membership which is ONLY $10 per year single membership and $12 per year for a family membership.

Thank You

Artist of the Month

Porter Wagoner

Porter Wagoner was born in August of 1927 in West Plains Missouri.

In 1950 he was performing on a local radio station with a band he put together called the “Blue ridge Boys”. The following year a radio station in Springfield Missouri brought him on board. The year after that he was recording records with RCA.

In 1953 Porter bought his first Nudie suit. (Not what it sounds like. LOL)

This was a custom Western suit which was designed by Nudie Cohn, a California Tailor. They were quite colorful and flashy and Porter totally enjoyed wearing his Nudie suits when he performed.

In 1954 Wagoner came out with his first top ten hit called

“Company’s Comin”

The Following year he came out with his first Number 1 hit called

“Satisfied Mind”

In 1967 his vocal partner Norma Jean was replaced by a new artist in the business. Dolly Parton.. Their partnership desolved in 1974 over creative differeances

Porter passed away in 2007 due to Lung Cancer. RIP Porter Wagoner For more information about Porter. Click on the following link porter wagoner. bio – Google Search
