A Note About Attendance
We would like to kindly encourage everyone who is able to attend our shows to please come out and support the theater.
Attendance has been low, and our expenses are currently greater than our income. Cornhusker Country Music Theater has been part of the community since 1976, and we would love to keep the music going for many years to come.
Our members and guests are our main source of support. Every ticket, donation, and kind word shared with a friend helps keep the doors open.
If you enjoy the theater, please consider:
- Attending a show
- Bringing a friend or family member
- Sharing our events with others
- Making a donation if you are able
Donations may be mailed to:

Thank you for helping support live country music in our community.
Building and Roof Update
The board continues to discuss the needed roof repairs for the theater. Several roofing options have been reviewed, and additional bids may be gathered before a final decision is made.
This is a major expense, and the board is continuing to explore options, including possible discounts, donations, or other ways to reduce the cost.
We appreciate everyone’s patience and support!
Band Booking and Promotion
The theater is continuing to look for bands and entertainment for upcoming shows. The board has discussed ways to improve booking, promotion, and attendance, including better use of the website, social media, flyers, and possible advertising opportunities.
If you know of a band that may be interested in playing at the theater, please encourage them to reach out through the website or by contacting us directly.
In Memory of Blanch Hopp
We are sad to share that Blanch Hopp, a longtime member of Cornhusker Country Music Theater, passed away on April 22, 2026.
Blanch was part of the theater family for many years and was known by many for her warm smile and friendly greeting as visitors came through the doors. Her support, friendship, and presence meant a lot to our community.
She will be greatly missed.
Artist of the Month: Alan Jackson
This month’s featured artist is Alan Jackson.
Alan Jackson was born in October 1958 and married his high school sweetheart in December 1979. Together, they have three daughters.
Alan became one of country music’s most beloved traditional country artists, known for songs that honored faith, family, heartbreak, humor, and the working-class spirit.
In recent years, Alan has shared that he was diagnosed with a progressive neurological condition that affects his mobility. Because of this, he has had to step away from touring.
We thank Alan Jackson for the many years of music and memories he has given country music fans.
Thank You
Thank you to everyone who continues to attend shows, volunteer, donate, perform, and help spread the word about Cornhusker Country Music Theater.
Your support helps keep traditional country music alive in our community.
We hope to see you at the theater soon!
