Artist of the Month – Janie Fricke

Janie Fricke, born in December 1947 in South Whitley, Indiana, grew up in a musical home. Her father taught her guitar, her mother taught her piano, and Janie went on to become a celebrated soprano vocalist in the country music world.

She got her start singing background vocals in Nashville sessions for legends like Lynn Anderson, Elvis Presley, Tanya Tucker, and Vern Gosdin.

Eventually launching her solo career, Janie scored 10 Top Ten hits, including 6 Number One singles.
