Help Keep the Music Going
We kindly encourage everyone who is able to attend our shows to please come out and support the theater.
Attendance has been low, and our expenses continue to outweigh our income. Our members, guests, volunteers, and donors are the main reason the theater is able to keep going.
You can help by:
- Attending a show
- Bringing friends or family
- Sharing our events with others
- Posting or handing out flyers
- Encouraging musicians to contact us
- Donating if you are able
Donations may be mailed to:

Every bit of support helps, and we are truly grateful.
Theater Updates
The board continues to work on several important items to help support and improve the theater.
Roof Repair
The board is continuing to gather estimates for roof repairs. A roofing contractor is expected to look at the roof and provide another estimate.
The board plans to ask about a full roof estimate, a partial repair estimate for the leaking area, and whether the work could possibly be done in phases.
Website Calendar
The website is mostly up to date, and upcoming jam dates will continue to be added to the calendar.
This will help members and visitors more easily see what is coming up at the theater.
Band Directory
Work is continuing on an online band directory to help keep track of band names, contact information, last performance dates, and future booking possibilities.
This should make scheduling easier and help us stay organized as we reach out to more performers.
Open Mic and House Band Nights
The board reviewed the recent House Band / Open Mic style show and agreed that it went well.
This type of event helps keep music on the calendar when an outside band is not booked. It also gives local musicians and singers a chance to participate and enjoy the theater.
The board may consider another Open Mic / House Band Night in July or August.
Upcoming Shows to Watch For
Please mark your calendars for these upcoming shows:
Saturday, August 15
Jacob Austin Band
Saturday, August 29
Caleb Kenner
Fred and Dorothy are also expected to return in September.
More details will be shared as dates get closer.
Promotion and Flyers
The board is working to promote shows earlier so flyers can be distributed around Louisville and nearby communities.
Flyers may be posted at local places such as community boards, businesses, the bank bulletin board, the thrift store, The Lantern, and other nearby locations.
If you know of a good place to post flyers, or if you are willing to help spread the word, please let us know.
Sound System
The board also discussed the theater’s sound system and possible improvements.
Before making any major equipment decisions, the plan is to check cables, connections, and existing equipment first. The board is going to work on debugging the current system and researching future mixer or amplifier options if needed.
No purchase decision has been made at this time.
Thank You
Thank you to everyone who attends shows, volunteers, donates, performs, and helps share the word about Cornhusker Country Music Theater.
Your support means so much and helps keep classic country music alive in our community.
We hope to see you at the theater soon!
