? Terry Smith Tribute Show
We are saddened by the passing of Nashville singer-songwriter Terry Smith, who graced our stage in October 2024. To honor his memory, we are planning a tribute show later this year.
A special thank you to Fred and Dorthy Techau of Silver City, Iowa, for stepping up to help organize this event. The theater staff will be working closely with them to ensure a meaningful tribute to this talented musician. More details will be announced as plans come together.

A thermometer-style tracker has been placed at the front of the stage to monitor our progress toward funding the new roof. As of now, we have raised $2,500 toward our goal of $18,000. Every contribution helps — thank you for your support!

Artist of the Month – Webb Pierce
? Born: August 1921, West Monroe, Louisiana
? Genre: 1950s Country Music Icon
After the passing of Hank Williams, Webb Pierce became one of the most popular country singers of the decade, topping the charts with numerous hits, including:
- “I Ain’t Never”
- “Slowly”
- “More and More”
- “There Stands the Glass”
- “Love, Love, Love”
- “I Don’t Care”
- “Wondering” (his first #1 hit, staying on the charts for 27 weeks in 1952)
Webb Pierce was known for his showmanship and knack for self-promotion. When he joined the Louisiana Hayride during its first year, he devised a clever strategy to boost his popularity—he would buy tickets for young girls, instruct them to sit in the front row, and encourage them to scream and cheer during his performance. This enthusiasm quickly caught on, skyrocketing his fame.

Thank You for Your Support!
