Howdy folks!

We hope everyone is having a wonderful summer. August is bringing several great opportunities to enjoy live music, jam with friends, and support Cornhusker Country Music Theater.

This year is also a special one for us: 2026 marks the 50th year of Cornhusker Country Music Theater. Since 1976, this theater has been a place for classic country music, friendship, dancing, and community. We are grateful for everyone who has helped keep the music going through the years!

Band Sponsorships and Volunteers

At this time, the theater is unable to pay bands due to limited income. This can make it difficult to book performers.

We are hoping to change this by finding sponsors who may be willing to help cover band costs for future shows.

If you or someone you know would be interested in sponsoring a band or supporting the theater in another way, please contact us. Your help can make a real difference.

Theater Updates

The board continues to work on several items to support and improve the theater.

Roof Repair

The board is continuing to gather information and estimates for roof repairs. The goal is to determine whether a full repair, partial repair, or phased approach may be possible.

Website Calendar

The website is mostly up to date, and upcoming jam dates will continue to be added to the calendar so members and visitors can easily see what is coming up.

Band Directory

The online band directory is nearly ready to use. It will help keep track of band names, contact information, last performance dates, and possible future booking opportunities.

Sound System

The board also discussed the theater’s sound system and possible future improvements.

Before making any major equipment decisions, the plan is to check cables, connections, and existing equipment first. The board may also research future mixer or amplifier options if needed.

No purchase decision has been made at this time.

Looking Ahead

The board is continuing to look for additional bands and performers for future dates. Some potential band leads are being researched, and show promotion remains an important focus.

Flyers will continue to be used to help spread the word around Louisville and nearby communities. If you know of a good place to post flyers, or if you would like to help promote upcoming shows, please let us know.

Thank You

Thank you to everyone who attends shows, volunteers, donates, performs, and helps share the word about Cornhusker Country Music Theater.

Your support means so much and helps keep classic country music alive in our community.

Everyone have a good August, and we hope to see you at the theater soon!
